PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Technical Management and Leadership

  • Managed a team which developed and maintains the current IAGOWeb.com website. The website features a Leaderboard that rates players at over 100 different games, using XML files sent over RSS feed, utilizing a database.

  • Oversaw creation of a social network site for CADERS, an organization dedicated to casual and retro gaming.

  • Acted as assistant team lead that supported over 700 diverse AIX based machines essential to IBM chip design development.

  • Jointly developed a business plan for a startup involved with automating bar leagues.

 

Non-Technical Management and Leadership

  • Founded a community of casual and retro game enthusiasts, CADERS, with over 170 members on Facebook.

  • Organization founder and original president of IAGO, a non-profit, currently incorporated in New York State.

  • Set up a D.B.A (Doing Business As) for IAGO's promotion company, in Dutchess County.

  • Developed new services and handled promotion to manage growth and expansion.

  • Obtained a number of Memorandums of Understanding where organization would act as an agent for various game publishers, designers, and associations.

  • Developed and oversaw a series of diverse global game tournaments, online and offline, which had hundreds of participants annually, and another series of tournaments, which had dozens of players weekly.

  • Founded a standards committee, advisory board, and Hall of Fame. Installed a management team still functioning in organization, that included a president of an organization, and executives of various other game organizations.

  • Trained and mentored new team members as an assistant team lead.

 

Sales, Marketing and Promotion

  • Generated thousands of dollars in revenue marketing, promoting, and selling info products over Internet.

  • Conducted technical system studies, market research, and formally presented proposals.

  • Solicited new retail sites for distribution of marketing material, with over 85% success rate obtaining new locations.

  • Jointly managed distribution route for marketing material.

  • Advised on marketing decisions, purchasing, pricing, promotion, and display of videogame rental products.

  • Negotiated rental agreement for video game products.

  • Solicited, and collected, a number of games for use by non-profit's library.

  • Place several game organizations (CADERS and IAGO) on first page of Google search, for their respected areas.

 

Game Design

  • Multiple games were published in issue of Games Magazine during 2012-2013.

Coordinator and Liaison

  • Coordinated quality assurance oversight on several projects concurrently.

  • Organized, scheduled, took minutes, and facilitated meetings with project teams regarding SEI Levels 2 and 3.

  • Liaison between management and ISO auditors.

  • Received award for assisting department in obtaining ISO-9000 compliance.

  • Held meetings with internal IBM customers.

  • Acted as coordinator for multiple commercial helpdesks providing phone support for numerous IBM customers, involving Windows platforms and applications.

 

Software Development and Maintenance

  • Created and maintained multiple web-based and stand-alone applications, including: a web-based helpdesk application, purchase order systems, and a factory floor control program.

  • Gathered requirements.

  • Supported a globally deployed web-based helpdesk application.

  • Performed problem determination, and program maintenance.

  • Coordinated with geographically disperse teams involved with development, test and support.

 

Website Development

  • Implemented a web site, complete with forum, calendaring and games, for CADERS at caders.net.

  • Set up a number of other IAGO related websites, and oversaw their integration into the current IAGOWeb.com site.

  • Acted as webmaster for IAGO's websites.

 

Software Test

  • Created and executed numerous functional and unit test cases involving auto provisioning, web helpdesk application, and a factory control program that integrated with SAP.

 

Operations

  • Provided support for a team that supported over 700 diverse AIX based machines essential to IBM chip design development.

  • Installed code, reconfigured, and migrated machines.

  • Performed hardware diagnostics.

  • Automated processes and improved operations.

  • Installed Wintel-based servers and applications.

  • Monitored numerous Wintel servers on network for various application and hardware problems, utilizing Tivoli Event Console.

  • Worked with multiple teams to resolve technical problems.

  • Acted as Webmaster for a number of IAGO websites.

  • Provided end-user support for IBM and Apple customers, internal and external.

 

Writing and Documentation

  • Updated standards documentation for division-wide QA standards database.

  • Created, reviewed and modified documentation to meet ISO compliance.

  • Documented technical problems and routed tickets to correct queue for resolution.

  • Generated documentation involving designs and test plans.
